I remember when I bought the first Gorillaz album. I wasn't a huge fan apart from Clint Eastwood and 19/2000. I stuck with it though, and now I really enjoy and appreciate the whole album. The reason I bring this up is because the idea of letting something grow on or challenge you is being lost.

Balls. They're not going to do the surgery until Monday because the (specific) cardiac specialists aren't in on weekends. What a great start to my Christmas holiday 🙃

Well it's happening. Getting my appendectomy tomorrow morning. Normally I shouldn't be worried as it's routine, but there are risk factors associated with my health situation. Doctors are a bit cynical but the nurses say I have nothing to worry about. Will be glad when it's over.

Guess who got appendicitis again, two weeks before Christmas? Feels worse than last time so I think I'm gonna be in surgery this time Dx.

I think I might finally and fully cut the Microsoft cord next year and move to Linux. (Apart from my Windows 95 PC :V). Can any Linux users recommend me a distro? I'm mainly going to be using it for games and software development. I was eyeing up Mint but I'm coming from a place of pure ignorance!

Picked up the missing piece of the Digimon PS1 collection earlier this week! I really wanted to buy World when I was a kid, but I was too embarrassed in case someone at school found out. As an adult, I'm like "Fuck it. I'm getting Time Stranger" :V. (Oh yeah. I collect PS1 games :>)

This shouldn't be a hot take, but if a developer sends a pre-release build of a game that contains a scene of a child riding on the shoulders of a naked adult in a horse mask, who may or may not have been SAed, you can't just 'age up' the child and not expect the extreme side-eye.

I'm finding myself getting a little tense about the F1 tomorrow x3. Hopefully it'll be an exciting race and not a procession. I do want Nando to win, but I'd be happy with Pastry too.

I have seen several people try to call Dogpatch's reliability into question on this. Maybe their concerns are valid, but all I will say is I witnessed him palling around with the local dog fucker in Aberdeen. (FYI, we didn't know at the time). Doesn't prove guilt, but not exactly a good look.

Seeing the techbros say "AI is here to stay so you better get used to it" sound just like the NFT bros. Yes, technically NFTs are still here and probably will be for a long time, but BAYC (probably the most popular) is worth less than 5% of its peak value and big companies have dropped NFTs.

SO... I'm pretty much done with Fortnite. There were statements made by Tim Sweeney saying that AI usage doesn't need to be disclosed, and then AI usage was found all over this current season- from art to sprays to in-game songs. Between that, and the upcoming shitty wizard collab... Yeah, I'm done.

I have no idea how I managed to complete Micro Machines V3 when I was a kid. I must have used cheat codes as the final cup is beyond brutal. I checked the fastest times on Retro Achievements and even the world records are slower than what the AI can do. You just have it hope it makes a mistake! Dx

I should be happy that I managed to get three weeks off work over Christmas, but I know I'm gonna have catastrophic insomnia and will probably invert my sleep cycle due to me having panic attacks 1 hour after going to sleep, but only at night ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
