It has been upsetting watching the establishment hurl itself at Mamdani but I think the other way to read that is that there really is a *better* politics possible and he shows that it is REAL.

We used to joke about how if you want to make friends, you should become a furry…

I think many people are actually taking that advice and joining the fandom.

I don’t like to gatekeep, but it’s important to set a social contract that we prioritize community and we don’t disparage.

Videos showing people dancing around in inflatable animal costume and contrasting that with Trump and co going "THE CITY IS OVERTAKEN BY DANGEROUS CRIMINALS" only makes it clear as hell that they're constantly telling the American people bullshit.
