Left the dentist this morning with them wanting to charge me over $900 (with a $350 credit I had from the last time too) and I didn't even get a teeth cleaning. I have NEVER been more convinced this entire system of a country is a SCAM.

A local friend shared with me there is such a thing over in the city called metal yoga. The context is basically they only do yoga to hardcore metal or screamo music and they scream into the void to start each session. Sounds like the perfect exercise routine for me to start in 2026.

Recruiter got back to me finally after a month. Apparently for a startup that just came out of stealth and has ZERO content strategy or much at all on their website, I was still passed over for the role.

It is disingenuous to suggest that the fault for Grok creating and publishing CSAM rests on those who prompted it. Just absolutely disingenuous.
The fault lies on xAI to prevent the misuse of its tool. Just like OpenAI with ChatGPT coaching people through suicide/murder. Safety MUST trump profit.

I decided to give myself the best gift I could this year, investing in myself. I had a small amount of extra money lately. So, I put aside just a small portion of it into my savings account, fun money fund, HSA, & IRA. Don't know what 2026 will bring career or income wise, but it's better than $0.

My mom, granny, & eldest pup (now gone this year) were my biggest pillars to lean on in life prior to 2020. I lost all 3 in 6.5 years. That was my support system. For so long. Knowing their time was limited has been my biggest fears come to fruition. So TY those around this year. Love ya'll, always.
On this winter solstice eve, I want to thank many of you for being a part of my life in your own way. How you entered my life is my best view of you.
