For Sir David: 🎂
Happy 99th birthday to the man who gave voice to the wild. 🎉

Sir David Attenborough, thank you for a lifetime dedicated to the natural world, and for sharing its story with wisdom, wonder, and grace.

You've inspired generations to fall in love with nature.

I'm astounded that marriage proposals are ever a surprise.

If they haven't discussed what they want out of life, shared needs, aspirations, values, what kind of commitment each wants... why would anyone 'propose' without full disclosure and understanding? Why would anyone accept?

Do you think there's any hope he will miraculously take it to heart and reform?

I am so excited about this!

I hope it also drops in Australia 16 May or I shall cry.

Quoting, and yet I know it's spitting in the wind.
Dutton kicked an AFL football into a cameraman, injuring the cameraman. Dutton's response was to cheer "Got him!" and applaud himself. How very Trumpian. 😠 #auspol #AusVotes25 youtube.com/shorts/u5NOL...

Just don’t go. America doesn’t want you.
An Australian was denied US entry for bizarre reasons. He’s not alone
One Australian traveller says he’s now $15,000 out of pocket after being denied entry to the US after “enhanced vetting”. His crime? Choosing a cheap fare.

Normalcy bias: a cognitive bias which leads us to disbelieve or minimize threat warnings, so we underestimate the likelihood of a disaster and its potential adverse effects.

Normal life, you see, cannot possibly be derailed so completely and disastrously.

In the past four weeks, Costco, which has embraced DEI initiatives, GAINED 7 million shoppers…

Target, which got rid of DEI, LOST 5 million shoppers!

That’s the power we have as consumers.

Remember that.

I am now boycotting every American product and enterprise that I can. It's not possible across the board, but whenever I spend a cent, I will direct it away from the US economy if I can.

Is it possible to cherry-pick specific profiles of friends to create specific lists?
There are times I want to avoid the pundits and commentators so I can just catch up with the homeliness of what friends are up to.
Anyone know how to do that here?

Tonight, I brushed my teeth then stopped at 2 doors to exchange good night wishes before going to bed and kissing my husband goodnight.

For the first time in 3 years, both my kids - my grown up, fabulous, adult kids - are sleeping under our roof and I'm counting my blessings.
