I'm in the Yukon! Of course I couldn't help but check out the local TTRPG scene in Whitehorse. Even this far north there's a hobby shop/bar called Titans Tavern and Geek Shop

Food was way better than I expected, and there was a ton of people playing mtg, dnd, and warhammer40k. (1/2)

This TTRPG sounds like you should just make foundational rules for how to apply properties with values to materials, abstract those values those for crafting, and provide some examples for game masters.

IE: A tooth has values like hardness, sharpness. These values translate to defense or damage.

Turns out making the monster hunter style "every bit of gear is bespoke and made from very specific materials" work in a ttrpg in a way that doesn't completely suck is like, extremely fiddly.

Books are nearly commonplace in my #TTRPG setting Oddities In Engress. Gangs even have their own weekly newsletters!

Engress is a city steaming unchecked into the industrial revolution, its rapid advancement wouldn't be possible without the cities heavy investments in its university and libraries!

One player in my campaign is a warforged artificer. He's put automated turrets on the company vehicle, brought satchel charges to a raid, and rigged the roombas to explode when intruders break into the agency!

Having a crafter in the group can seriously supercharge a campaign if they know what they're doing. Sure, dedicating your build to crafting can weaken you a lot, but it also means that the other players get hella strong hella fast. That, and you can always just become Iron Man.

Curiously, teleportation magic in my setting works best when mapping the planes as flat and using imaginary numbers to form complex planes, projecting a holographic 3d world.

Despite their observed spherical appearance, planes are considered mathematically flat!

Gangs are feared and sometimes respected more than the police. Particularly, the leading syndicate, the Bastards Of Bastion (BoBs), whose crime fortress is said to be the second beating heart of the City Engress.

In my currently running campaign, the agency's security guard is a paladin were-hyena who specializes in unarmed combat.

She's the toughest of the bunch and spends a lot of time standing intimidatingly nearby to make sure people stay in their lane - be they gangsters or the agency's own clients.

I've been helping playtest the TTRPG vibe check!

It's a ton of fun and has a lot of character options for combat. Try it out!
I recommend setting up a combat-oriented oneshot, like a dungeon crawl. Don't be afraid to try interesting combinations of themes and abilities!
