Trump demands 'gratitude' from Ukraine. But since he came to power, Trump has:

- ended all new US military aid to Ukraine;
- ended all US financial aid to Ukraine;
- ended all US humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

So what exactly should Ukraine be grateful for?

The Guardian weist darauf hin, dass das Dokument, zu dessen Unterzeichnung Trump die Ukraine zwingt, höchstwahrscheinlich von einem Russen auf Russisch verfasst wurde. Anschließend wurde es auf eine Weise übersetzt, die für einen englischen Muttersprachler unnatürlich klingt.
The Guardian points out that the document Trump is forcing Ukraine to sign was highly likely to have been written in Russian by a Russian. Then translated in a way not natural for a native English speaker. Agent Orange is literally on the verge of doing Putin's work and killing a free nation. Post übersetzen The third point of the 28-point plan reads: "It is expected that Russia will not invade neighbouring countries and Nato will not expand further." "It is expected" is a clunky passive construction in English. The Russian version - oxnjaeres or ozhidayetsya -makes MO more E Se1Se sense and and 1s is a a familiar verb form. Other Russianisms that appear to have crept into the text include HEOIHO3HayHocTH (ambiguities) and "3axpenur," (to enshrine).

I’ve been in a room with Putin. He calls Ukrainians “Russians with accents.” His real fear isn’t NATO expansion, it’s democracy expansion. It shatters his entire argument for dictatorship at home. Because if Ukrainians embrace freedom, Russians may demand the same.

Wat krijgen we nu …? Opeens reclame op de NOS teletekst app. Gebruikte deze nog steeds, maar of dat zo blijft is maar de vraag.

Juist die sobere niet schreeuwerige opmaak verleende dit medium autoriteit en betrouwbaarheid. Dat gaat nu allebei verloren vind ik.
