I was born in the 60s so I've seen 50+ years of American history. This administration's abuse of power and trampling of rights is unprecedented. It's fascist. It's criminal. I'm disgusted that 1/3 of the country is OK with it. UNTIL it happens to them. Be better, America. Live up to your potential.

“I spent three nights and three days in federal custody. During that time, I was never told what I was charged with, was not allowed to shower despite being covered in tear gas and pepper spray, had no phone call to my family, and no access to an attorney.” - George Retes, U.S. citizen and veteran.
I’m a US citizen and a veteran. ICE arrested me for no reason.
Jailed for three days without an explanation or ability to notify anyone, George Retes argues the only path to healing starts with the government taking accountability for its actions.

Oh, Godzilla. How far you have fallen.

I'm assuming the catch is that when you say a phrase, someone has to challenge you on it being on one of your cards immediately. Otherwise, you score it?

What's on the table in the picture?

Went to 2025 NYCC. Appreciate it being Mecca for us geeks but wouldn't go again. Liked 'The Running Man' panel, the cosplay, all the great art. Didn't like the crowds and too much focus on merch. I'm not one to buy tchotchkes and my comic collecting days are long over. Some pics for y'all.

Squeaked out a 99-97 win in 2p Terraforming Mars vs my son. One of his favs; it proves again it's always a fun play. Such incredible card play, racing to points, and card drafting full of tough decisions (groans). Think this year it'll move up in my personal rankings (@#52). #boardgames
Hellas map of Terraforming Mars. Depicts Mars in a hexagon grid. Grey city, green forest, and blue ocean tiles cover much of its surface. Blue and yellow cubes mark ownership.

Those are two phenomenal games. #27 and #20 in my ranked games.

Ooo ... I have W&W. Will need to check out Lone Wolf and Half-Truth.

It's good for what it is. Horror-themed, tile laying. Draw a tile, place where your splunker is going to go, deal with consequences. All the splunkers have their own power. All tests are d6 50/50 pass / fail. It's good for playing a quick solo game. Wouldn't play with more than 3 due to down time.

In my top 10. Love all the choices, buildings, And the randomness of the bag.

NYCC. #Godzilla is well represented.

Great piece. Like you, On Mars is my favorite box art in my collection. Amazing how many games he's done. Others he's done and I find striking are
Kanban EV and Rococo. I'd forgotten he did Fit to Print. That's a game I like but unfortunately the scoring is so tedious.

I assume you setup news feeds so that's what you get.

Those investigating the deep sea mining facility suffered Deep Madness. Lost Chapter 4 by running out of time. Amazed I managed to keep everyone alive until then. Played 6 handed solo - that was a bit of a slog. The game is about running and survival, not killing. Creepy art fun! #boardgames
'Atrocity' miniature, a hulking beast with enormous tongue. Background are some of the horror (monster) cards from Deep Madness. Below them are some of the investigators. The game has an interesting initiative mechanism where it goes back-and-forth between the investigators and the horrors. Each round, the investigators shift their position. Full setup of Deep Madness. Game boxes in the backgound, horror supply in front of them, main board in the center (underwater mining facility), and the six investigators and their equipment cards in the foreground.

Young Frankenstein for sure. That's a movie that is quoted every Thanksgiving as we gather 'round the table. Shaun of the Dead and Return of the Living Dead are also terrific (though I haven't seen the latter in 20 years - don't know if it stands the test of time).

imagery given the movie came out 10y after the atomic bombings.
7. Surprised that only 1 of the 2 iconic Akira Ifukube Godzilla score elements is in the original. The blaring brass that I'm used to announcing his arrival wasn't there. But the rhythmic drums, conveying approaching danger was there.
