I don't understand why the Democrats are not fighting harder. Why not use the power of the pursestrings? For example! "We will fund the government only if ICE is fully defunded." Or "We will fund the government only when you restore USAID and rehire all illegally fired Fed employees."

It's easy to do. Order your national guard and local police to intercept the Texas national guard and order them to leave. Fire everyone who refuses to carry out the order. Give a $100k bonus to everyone who does. This is how warlords operate in failed states, which we are currently.

USAID was a true basket case and it needed to be nuked. But their emergency work did save lives and it was stupid and homicidal to just yank the rug out like Trump and Musk did.

If you're going to film the cops, lead a corp of volunteers from your office to film the cops. Don't just rely on citizen reporting. Have a war room, have a strategy for how to engage, who to put where, and what to do with the footage. Intentionally flood the zone with truth.

I think we need to have a frank conversation nationwide about police and military loyalty. If Illinois is forced to defend themselves from a Texas invasion, will the Illinois National Guard obey orders from their governor to repel the invasion?

We are in the "always choose punish" equilibrium of the infinitely repeated prisoner's dilemma. The optimum strategy in this situaiton is to punish, punish, punish, until the opposition comes crawling back begging for forgiveness. There is no other strategy that will work.

The Dems should specifically target Bondi's office and department for extreme budget cuts, until she answers the questions she was asked.
