The Pied kingfisher (𝘊𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘭𝘦 𝘳𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘴), Eurasian hoopoe (𝘜𝘱𝘶𝘱𝘢 𝘦𝘱𝘰𝘱𝘴), and barn swallow (𝘏𝘪𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘰 𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢) - all birds native to Palestine. Have really been enjoying sketching lately, and bought my first sketchbook since college recently ✏️__ #birds #palestine

Thankful to be so easily inspired and excited by nature, because days like yesterday give me so much life. The last months have been some of the best I’ve had in years, maybe ever. My heart feels impossibly full❣️2026 is already off to a great start, looking forward to more adventures and lifers.

Thinking about islands again 🏝️
A drawing of an island. The island is made of ruins, but has a small, more recently built cottage in the middle, as well as raised beds with vegetables and a chicken coop with chickens. There is a very large orange tree with fruit, and a woman is fishing fallen oranges out of the water using a net.

Sierran treefrog (𝘗𝘴𝘦𝘶𝘥𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘢), one of four native tree frog species in California. Tree frogs are distinguishable from other types of frogs by their large round toe pads, which help them climb!
