Fairly sure the answer was : Israel set out to undermine the PLO by supporting [checks notes] Hamas. (I know you know this. I'm just always appalled at how many people don't).

PLO recognized Israel in 1988 and 1993 and then what happened is a question nobody seems to answer on here

And that is why I chose not to read it. It's one thing to fish out For Us the Living (fascinating because it's clear he mined it for a decade) but RAH really wouldn't have wanted this published

It's the original draft of Number of the Beast (which is a shambles anyway, he had a TMI during its writing). He ditched it and started again. The original was published in 2020 entitled The Pursuit of the Pankera: A Parallel Novel about Parallel Universes. See Wikipedia. I've chosen not to read it

"I would have thought the church was a safe place, too, until the results came in from my research with more than 2,800 women who worked in the church. I have compiled these results in my new book, Safe Church: How to Guard Against Sexism & Abuse in Christian Communities." - Andrew J. Bauman

These stories are disturbing and humbling. I hope they propel us to change the system from which many of us (especially men) have benefited.

Judge: That's what I'll do. Prohibit federalization or deployment of any NG troops into Oregon. For all reasons in prior opinion. Deployment of federalized military is ultra vires and contrary to law, violating Title 10, section 12406. I also find it's likely that defendants violate 10th Amendment.

If you are a supporter and reader of @contingent-mag.bsky.social one of the biggest things you can do to help us at the moment is get this CFP to the NTT folks in your life. The fracturing of social media has made it very difficult to get the word out esp. to adjuncts and VAPs.

It is not clear that Mr. Trump’s image can be featured on a coin. An 1866 law enshrined a tradition that only deceased people could appear on U.S. currency to avoid the appearance that America was a monarchy. Trump admin is planning to do it anyway.

My whole life it has been impossible to criticise Israel without being called anti-Semitic.

It was always an absolutely outrageous and disgraceful tactic designed to silence criticism of crimes against humanity.

So I’m sorry, but I have no time or respect for that phase any more. I’m not alone.
