I think their buisness model is kind of a monopoly since the companies that use maya aren't gonna want to switch and teach their thousands of workers a better software because that's a lot of time spent on doing it when maya has a pretty good output

It's so bad that it's necessary to save in increments and keep several old saves just in case your scene got corrupted and you didn't notice

another thing that can help with troubleshooting is trying to find a reddit post or forum thread of someone who has a similar problem to yours, that way you can try doing what they did
whats the alternative you're using? if it gives you an error code, you can type that in the searchbar with its name

I pulled that number out of an estimating website but probably didn't put the right settings in

btw did you try uninstalling and reinstalling the software?

Oh yeah if you're on windows I'd like to say watch out if your storage is nearly full windows gets corrupted when it updates
Always good to invest in a backup external drive if you run into issues with storage, or just in general to make sure you don't lose important stuff

If you're able Id say try trimming it on the default video viewer or lower the resolution

Does it crash when you import one video or multiple at once? If you have a less powerful computer it might be an issue with file size
