Trump's problem on immigration is that the American people support deporting the 20 million imaginary illegal immigrants that Biden brought in to commit crime and take jobs, but all of these raids are arresting real people (extremely unpopular)

I'm trying to imagine the person who both supports the anti-ICE protests and also likes what Newsom is doing. We got democrats trying as hard as they can to show they can suppress protestors better than the national guard!

"Trump's radical and sweeping attempts to assert presidential authority where he clearly has none present the federal judiciary and the Congress with an opportunity to finally repudiate the decades-old judicial canards that presidents are entitled to 'deference' in matters of national security."
Trump's Lawlessness Has Historical Roots
Donald Trump is heir to a long tradition of presidential misuse of federal powers and personnel against American citizens.

The important thing to understand about the attack on Harvard is that it’s not because of Palestine. They’ve wanted to liquidate the Ivy leagues for years and Israel is the only cause for action that might get other elites to go along with it.

I try to have an open mind with tech so sometimes ppl tell me LLMs have gotten so good and they're worth using for some task now. I say that's cool, let me try, and then when I see the result myself it sucks.

Maybe people are just lowering their standard for good work until LLMs can meet it
There are a lot of critiques of LLMs that I agree with but "they suck and aren't useful" doesn't really hold water.

I understand people not using them because of social, economic, and environmental concerns. And I also understand people using them because they can be very useful.

Thoughts?

Genuine question. Uber and Airbnb have gotten a lot done by unleashing their user base on elected officials. But when TikTok tried it, all the reporting says that members of Congress were annoyed and it backfired. What explains the difference?
