Elon Musk’s Grok AI posted about Musk’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein in first person, as if Grok was Musk. In response to viral exposure, the original Grok post has been deleted and Grok is now falsely claiming screenshots of it are fabricated. This is just one example of why AI is so dangerous

maybe this is real or not, but this could bring a lot of eyes to what Facebook has become.

Einsenberg coming back seems like a bit of a stretch, he's gone on record before saying he's not a fan of being associated with Zuck, but would love to see more Garfield!

Court rules Anthropic training an LLM on books is fair use… if they bought the books. But Anthropic also pirated a lot of books, and now faces a second, potentially major, damages trial for stealing them

Good thread that serves as a cautionary tale for using AI at work even in ways that seem to be the intended uses (and often even encouraged by bosses).

Please don’t dunk on OP, we need more people like him admitting to this kind of thing openly and honestly.
Basically this was the first time I've used an AI to count instances in a document in this way - we're encouraged to use Copilot at work, so that's what I did. It's sold very much as something to use for analysing documents, spreadsheets - integrated with Office etc.

I suspect that fact that the vast majority of LLM users don’t seem to have received this (really very simple!) message is because the AI companies have a vested interest in us not understanding it. “ChatGPT is smart, it just makes mistakes sometimes” is much more marketable than the truth.
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Even if you accept the premise and decision, which I absolutely do not, it is the simplest thing to phone the visa holder, tell them their visa is revoked and say they have a month to leave the country. Accosting someone on the street like a kidnapping is just a spectacle of terror.
Marco Rubio on Rumeysa Ozturk: "We revoked her visa ... once you've lost your visa, you're no longer legally in the United States ... if you come into the US as a visitor and create a ruckus for us, we don't want it. We don't want it in our country. Go back and do it in your country."
