Subways, transit, NYC.

The better way to see this is through @vanshnookenraggen.com's track map, and you can't really do too much about the things that are above the subway and in between it and the AirTrain.

A fundamental problem with Jamaica is that the various rail options aren't on top of each the other. The subway is next to the LIRR which is next to the AirTrain. The LIRR mezzanine gets fairly crowded too at peak times as commuters await track assignments.

I'm also intrigued to see the details here.

Navigating through the Jamaica complex just involves various iterations of going up stairs and escalators (one of which hasn't worked in a month).

Uh what in the world happened here?

Scant news coverage says this was an Uber but no other details have emerged.

He ostensibly has 43K followers, and these are the engagement numbers after 2.5 hours. We're all here, man! Come on over.

This one is also good and also $58. Maybe I'll just buy a sticker pack instead.

A $58 price tag on a t-shirt is a tough pill to swallow....

Fully agree with @davecolon.bsky.social here.

For Hochul in an election year, universal child care is a no-brainer. Free buses is definitely the harder one particularly because most of the involved parties don't seem to want it.

Reading the @nyc.streetsblog.org Albany 2026 preview, and I just have to ask "Do we though?"

Every time I went to my sports medicine doctor's office in Chelsea this fall, I had to walk by this surface parking lot, marveling that this is what we're doing with the corner of 24th and 6th.

I have to admit, I didn't even notice that, but uh:

I didn’t realize today’s fare hike came with new train routes.

"Well, well well, not so easy to find a gym that doesn't suck shit, huh?"

They’re specifically mad about these exit poll results. Blood and soil but for cities. Clown nativist nonsense, and I’m saying that as a multi-generation native New Yorker who wants nothing more to do with any Cuomo for the rest of my life.

Random Metrocards I keep finding at home in drawers.

To accommodate the Mayor-elect's swearing-in tonight in the City Hall subway station, 6 trains will be running to Bowling Green and turning around via the inner South Ferry loop. Do with that information what you will.

Also the OnlyNY poster and this crazy thing.

A brief sampling of the many ways Metrocards will live on in my apartment.

Are we doing these for real or are we doing these to shitpost?

The precinct map NYT published is instructive.

Also, The Cut is overstating the lack of Mamdani support.

Angling for the coveted John Samuelsen nativist endorsement with policy ignorance. Will TWU leadership fall for it and back an anti-labor Republican?

I gotta say, I simply do not care with Mr. Topping has to say about NYC congestion pricing.
