Anyway, I'm definitely glad me & my ex are on good terms and still chat about our lives from time to time, and tho we had an unhealthy relationship, the fact that we do so and do our best to co-exist in a smallish community is probably healthier in the long-run for both of us

Something both me & my ex noticed tho, is that when you're trans & you mention a divorce, a lot of people (not just cis) tend to default into thinking your ex is cis, and that your transness is what "caused" the divorce

when they learn otherwise their attitude changes
