If it's a bad drawing then why do I love it so much?

Well, digital ink. Trying to treat it like the real thing and not erase/undo.

I’m firmly on team “change whatever you want as long as the results are interesting” but it feels like they didn’t understand the assignment. Very odd decisions on display…

That said, Once you get a good grasp of the fundamentals it gets easier/more fun to learn since you can shift focus to more specific vocabulary/grammar points rather than massive subjects like verb conjugation. You can also start watching native media as well.
