Shifting myself away from short-form social media sites like FB, IG, and even Bluesky gave me a lot more time for reading and contemplation. Next year I hope to read at least as many books, but also spend time creating art and writing for myself.

Visited the Dix trolls today. Hard to explain the feeling here. The park and trolls are lovely. The history is heavy.

Snippet from a local news article: No students were injured after a pickup truck rear-ended a school bus while stopping Tuesday at a railroad crossing. The bus was carrying students from NJHS. Students on the bus told WRAL News the truck driver quickly backed away, backing his way down an embankment and through a pasture, tearing down a farmer's electric tence before he drove away from the scene.

This is because cancers typically show up as White spots or masses on mammogram and dense breast tissue also appears white on a mammogram. **Just as it would be hard to spot a polar bear in a blizzard,** this makes it hard to tell the difference oetween normal, healthy tissue and abnormal tissue. Fatty breast tissue appears dark on mammogram so it's easier to see white spots.

Last the night the partner and I were wondering if the Google AI search hallucinations of meaning for non-sensical sayings had been fixed, and the answer appears to be no. We now have a new saying, but I'm not sure if I'm proud of us or not.

The saying "it's better to eat your beans than fart on your enemies" is a humorous way of advising against petty and unproductive forms C revenge or conflict. Cool enough today to explore some new trails nearby. This stump is doing a top-shelf job providing a place for fungi fruiting bodies.
