The cost for electricity will increase exponentially. When they factor in how much energy the center will need from the grid that’s how price per unit is calculated & will ⬆️everyone’s bill. It’s not an individuals usage, the current rate is what consumers already use. How much will center add? ALOT!
I attended the Hogansville City Council meeting, where the main topic was data centers. Local residents voiced real concerns about the proposed data center: lack of transparency, unanswered questions on water/power strain and community impact.
