Do you think JD Vance knows the ONLY way he'll ever becomes president is if Trump dies in office or if Trump is found mentally unsound within the next three years?

Time to check his J-1 visa status in 1995 and see whether he was working to launch Zip2 while enrolled as a student at Stanford.

Can't tell you the number of liberals who scolded me in that annoyingly obtuse YIMBY manner that it was worth it for rockets and science. This was always inevitable

People miss the law of large numbers here also. I wrote about it six years ago after some ARK silliness. Based on ARK's estimated fleet size, miles driven, and 5X better than humans = 274 injuries and 4 deaths per day. seekingalpha.com/article/4287...

Musk paid Trump $300M for this: a House bill removing any disclosures of miles per crash, etc., currently required for self-certifying as Level 4 autonomy.

If this bill passes, it's a free pass for Tesla to roll out its deadly robotaxis from day one, unimpeded.

Here it is: the 2nd video ever of Musk's brother saying he & Elon worked illegally in the US in their early days.

Difference is that, in this video, Musk admits it.

Let's make this go viral.

It blows me away that there are still people out there with functioning brains who don’t take his deranged threats seriously. Maybe they will figure this all out in 3 more years.

This is a deathblow to Tesla in Europe, where it benefits the least from this deal, while big rivals can open the floodgates:

Tariffs on made-in-China EVs on top of the 10% standard duty:

Tesla: 7.8%
BYD: 17.0%
Geely: 18.8%
BMW: 20.7%
VW: 20.7%

Tesla continues to decay in China: "Compared to the standard annualized rate of 2.50%, it enables consumers to save up to RMB 33,479 ($4,790)".

This is the longest-term loan contract ever offered by a carmaker in China.

What happened to Tesla removing its safety drivers from its Austin robotaxi fleet by 2025-end?

Why hasn't Tesla accepted any paid rides without safety drivers by now?

1) Because FSD is a Level 2 ADAS
2) Crash & disengagement data in Austin are horrible

Prepare for another "next year" excuse.

For anyone who thinks that $TSLA will earn $2.19 in 2026 EPS, please think about its Model Y Standard sales outside of the US: they're below cost.

If you thought that Tesla's 9% YoY drop in Q4 2025 deliveries was bad, wait till you see the profits. 😂

They shoved through 33% of their 2025 Taiwan sales in December. Big one-off country sales in 2025 like Turkey & other APAC regions will see a huge declines.

No they're not. You're putting lipstick on a pig.

Tesla's German factory is another cash-burning vanity project of Musk like the Cybertruck.

Tesla's 2025 sales growth:

Norway (EV tax hike in '26): +41% YoY
Sweden: -67%
Belgium: -53%
NL: -45% YoY
France: -38%
Denmark: -38%
Finland: -30%
Italy: -18%
Portugal: -13%
UK: -10%
Spain: -4%
Total: -25%

Tough scene for Tesla Robotaxi in Austin, where they racked up 8 crashes between July and October.

Still no definitive show of "removing the safety drivers" by year end, as Musk declared on Dec-8th, Tesla is obviously in full panic mode.

Tesla posted its Q4 survey of consensus deliveries on its website for the first time ever yesterday.

It's a desperate sign of Tesla trying to lower the benchmark in order to show a beat.

And still no paid driverless rides in Austin.

Tesla Sets Up a Q4 Delivery Beat Before Ending 2025 With a Whimper
All of this beat is driven by Norway, where EV tax breaks are set to halve from January 1st, leading to a $3,000 price increase for the cheapest Model Y.

Tesla is shrinking the supply of robotaxi rides in Austin. That 8th supervised robotaxi crash in Oct must've been bad.

Tesla made more redactions in that crash report than usual, including even what the robotaxi crashed with.

Paid driverless rides for the public in Austin are highly unlikely.

Despite Musk's hype, Tesla can't do paid driverless rides in Austin, which sets up his fans for a huge disappointment.

Musk lies again by promising "driverless rides" in Austin by "year end".

Tesla's 8 Robotaxi Crashes in Austin Point to No Paid Driverless Rides
Aside from the California DMV ruling that FSD is only a Level 2 ADAS, Tesla's Austin robotaxi crash reports to NHTSA should raise eyebrows at the Texas DMV.

Tesla only submitted autonomous miles to the CA DMV twice & it was always a grift:

2016: 550 miles due to repeated retakes for the "Paint it Black" video.

2019: 12 miles for Autonomy Day, where Musk said 1M robotaxis in 2020. Tesla did a $2.8BN cap raise 8 days later. But, still no robotaxis.
December 24, 2025 at 9:15 PM
Tesla "robotaxis" glitched up while driving in the rain over the weekend in SF.

One kept trying to pull over (LEFT), while another had repeated disengagements (RIGHT). Both saw the safety driver take over.

I pray for Austin if Musk really removes the safety drivers by year end, as promised.

December 22, 2025 at 12:41 AM
Tesla "robotaxi" had 30 disengagements during a 20 minute ride in the Bay Area because it was raining.

Support told the driver to take over as the rain was "really bothering the front fascia/camera".

Will Musk really have the balls to remove the Austin safety drivers?
