Any improvement for a transportation mode aside from cars is seen as an attack on cars or a bad investment that no one will use. We’re constantly compromising or deferring - prolonging car-based planning

This “kids don’t belong downtown” sentiment has crept into feedback about revitalizing downtown of Guelph, too. Designs for our square include a tiny kid focused area and the pushback has been unreal. A climbable set of big city letters may be the compromise… but hey, at least convo is happening!

I’ve found this frustrating also. In Guelph, the second platform has been done for a while, but connecting tracks? Crickets… Passing tracks in many locations are going ahead, but you have to be a rider to see that - no info. Now if only Georgetown could make some progress… that Silver junction!! 🤦‍♂️
