Sarah also has a history of working with civic organizations that specifically focus on water quality, pollution, and infrastructure. She will use that background to make the MWRD a body that serves the public and makes their work accessible and transparent.

Sarah is an attorney and environmentalist with a long track record of supporting initiatives that help our area mitigate and adapt to climate change. As an expert in her field, our members trust her to use her position on the MWRD to advocate for sustainable initiatives that benefit every ZIP code.

Organized progressive grassroots are key to the future of a revitalized progressive movement in Illinois and beyond, and I am honored to have their support and endorsement.

Stay tuned for opportunities from us to help support his campaign in the lead-up to the March 17th primary, and follow @mikesimmonsil.bsky.social for more updates!

Our neighbors need representation in Washington that will fight for the future that we all deserve, and that will keep fighting until the job is done. We know that Mike Simmons will be that kind of champion when we send him to Congress next year.
December 17, 2025 at 1:36 AM
Mike has also used his time in Springfield to ensure that Illinois is a safer place for residents who have been targeted the most by the Trump administration, including immigrants of all backgrounds and members of the LGBTQ+ community.
December 17, 2025 at 1:36 AM
During his tenure as a State Senator, Mike has been a consistent voice for people who do not come from privilege or wealth. He has led fights to address the housing crisis, to erase medical debt for thousands of Illinoisians, and to make it easier for people to raise their families in our state.

We urge our neighbors and friends in House District 13 to join us in supporting Sunjay's campaign. Stay tuned for opportunities from us to help win the future Uptown deserves, and follow @sunjayforillinois.com for more updates!

In the General Assembly, he will also be an advocate for fully funded public schools, more reliable support for our public transit system, and aggressive state action to combat our housing crisis.
December 16, 2025 at 7:34 PM
As neighbors across our city and state continue to be targeted by the Trump administration, we need reps that will fight on behalf of our entire community. Sunjay will be a powerful champion for immigrant rights, reproductive rights, and the health and safety of our trans neighbors.
December 16, 2025 at 7:34 PM
Sunjay has been a constant presence in the fight for a safer, just, and more affordable Chicago. From the fight to pass the Pretrial Fairness Act to supporting our endorsed candidates for our city's elected school board, he has consistently aligned with campaigns that match our IPO's priorities.

As a renter, a transit user, and the only LGBTQ+ candidate in the race, Drake will be a voice for Chicagoans of all backgrounds, and we urge all of our neighbors in District 10 to support his candidacy. Watch for opportunities from us to help him win, and follow Drake at @drakefor10.bsky.social!

Drake has also used his campaign to call for action that would help to Trump-proof Cook County. He has endorsed severing ties with contractors that share data with ICE, all while spending his free time participating in ICE watch teams.
December 16, 2025 at 2:03 AM
Drake has promised to address the affordability crisis that is pushing people out of our city and state. He has pledged his support for policies that would improve our healthcare system, make housing more affordable, and shift the tax burden away from Chicago’s working class.

We are encouraging all of our members, neighbors, and friends to contact Representative Kelly Cassidy (HD-14) and ask her to join her Democratic caucus colleagues in co-sponsoring HB 2723. It is time for Illinois to meet Illinoisans where they are at and repeal this extremist law!
December 2, 2025 at 12:49 AM
Even worse, the law applies to territories that Israel occupies, meaning that companies can miss out on investment because they won’t do business in illegal West Bank settlements.

Fortunately, legislation was filed to reverse this extremist policy just this year.
