In WW2 my father was in Italy with the British 78th Division, and in July 1944 his unit was sent to Quassasin camp near Ismalia for some rest and recuperation. They had fought in North Africa, Sicily and Italy since November 1942.
Always remember, never forget.
No surprise there, he's been allowed to quit the House of Lords

Think about how petty and despicable #maga bastards like #Hegseth are.

He spent time (getting paid by taxpayers) sitting there and thought..;

"How can we disrespect our dead veterans to benefit the regime? 🤔"

I'm not American obvs... But this pisses me off.

What kind of people disrespect their OWN war dead?!

I mean, the American Republican party disrespected OUR war dead (that won't be forgotten, by the way) but to disrespect THEIR OWN as well!!

What kind of 'humans' are they?

This photo was taken in 1911 using glass plate technology by Herbert Ponting who was part of Scott's Antarctic expedition,

The composition and detail are exquisite with the band of white snow/ice creating a perfect frame around the two people and the ship in the distance

Iconic imo
