As much as I love it when Daisuke and Obito are being clever or devious or outright bullies (😅), I think it's their banter with each other and their opposites attract vibes (even though they're very alike lol)

Separately, it's Daisuke’s street tough attitude and Obito's no-nonsense-perma-exhaustion

Duels of Blood (and some quality time with two of my least favorite people)

Ewah raised his chin when the Emperor turned to face him, though he still kept it slightly bowed in a show of deference. Even so, an ominous orange light from the roaring hearth danced across the young man’s pockmarked face as Akuwara examined his cold, black eyes. Trained as an assassin at Kurushima, there was little doubt how easily he could overpower His Highness if he so chose, but he didn’t so much as twitch when Akuwara stepped closer, silvery robes silent as they dragged behind him. Unlike some, this was an obedient dog, whose aura lacked defiance—it seemed he only possessed bloodlust for the Emperor’s enemies.
“I need you to relay a message to Master Yujin, posthaste, and tell him that he’s to meet me at the dungeons once he’s received my words. Are you ready?”
“Yes, Your Highness.”
“It’s time to put the treasonous dog down.”

Hmm. Their world, Daisuke and Obito would go to Baohu, a city in the north with good food, plenty of entertainment, time to read, and no one would look for them there 💀

Our world, somewhere with museums, lots of nature trails, and maybe where they can go see a play or two 🤭...(and with legal pot 💀)

Daisuke does a lot of things through spite, but I think curiosity and (oddly!) empathy drive even more of what he does. Obito can also be driven by curiosity and spite, but I think his principles have a bigger hand in things than he cares to admit.
