Madera Canyon is always known for it's hummingbirds, but the variety of birds in the canyon is stunning. Mexican Jays are plentiful as were the Nuthatches, just to name a few. #AZbirding

It finally happened. I found an Elegant Trogan in one of our sky islands. He did have his back to me the entire time, so fair enough. #birdingAZ

So many bats here last night.

Rivoli #hummingbird is taking control of the feeder. The Anna’s are not backing down.

Oh to be a periwinkle in the fall. The only things that matter are some sunlight and water. Social media, and politics are meaningless.

Same energy.

The Lepto bats (Lesser Long Nose) are still around every night. Although this morning there was a bit of nectar left in the feeder; perhaps they are heading back south again as it's usually emptied.
Gluttunous and messy little creatures. #bats

This was exactly what I needed to see today. After a tough weekend paying too much attention to the media circus, I wasn’t doing very well. Steve Burns is a national treasure.

Of the many paintings I saw in the Brooklyn Art Museum, this self portrait done by Sasha Gordon sticks with me. Her use of colors was incredible. #womensart

Last week in NYC I sat with a friend I’ve known for 30 yrs. He retold me the story of how he was supposed to be in tower 2 for a meeting on 9/11 but it got cancelled that morning. He worked at a building just a block away. It is stunning the grief folks carry, still.

Last week I had an interesting experience in the cemetery at the Trinity Churchyard & St. Paul’s cemetery (where Hamilton is buried). I was getting pinched on my hips & thighs and literally thought I had a bee in my pants. No bee or any insect. Perhaps something wanted my attention. #paranormal

The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens was stunning. I did not want to leave.

Didn’t expect to see these lights tonight, but then realized that the anniversary is coming up this week.
