Power out again in midcity.

This time we saw the transformer explode from our front porch. Sparks and all on Bienville right in front of G’s.

Apparently Bienville transformer this time. Maybe this is the sign I really need to eat the ice cream in my freezer.

Ya know what else harms the state? Oil spills with no consequences killing our wildlife and poisoning our people.

This is exactly what I was saying last night but in a more partisan way. No work, no pay. No work, no job. Apply it to all congressfolk regardless of affiliation.

McGovern: Republicans love to advocate for more work requirements for poor people… Let's have a work requirement for Republicans to show up to congress and do your god damn job.

Over the past few months, I’ve thought a lot about the late, great astrophysicist and science communicator Carl Sagan. More specifically, I’ve been thinking about his 1995 book The Demon-Haunted World...

Rules were updated a day or two ago, might be worth checking again as CVS reports they stopped requirement for prescription (& yes it’s all bullshit we have these hoops to jump!)

Going to respectfully suggest that we might be better able to pull this department back on the rails if the pay range wasn’t 40-65k with degrees required and getting bullied by developers, contractors, and the general public as a bonus.

New Orleans folks, I’ve got Saints tix for Sunday and we have to be out of town. Sec 137, corner, nothing fancy, good neighbors. Not looking to make $$, just like to see em get used and not by Pats fans. ⚜️⚜️

Let there be light (oh that’s the one I forgot to turn off - even though it was off - before bed). Appreciate the cheese and ice cream save Entergy.

Rep. Jared Golden’s new Dem challenger is Maine’s former Secretary of State, Matt Dunlap.

Many years ago, I actually interviewed Dunlap for a Q&A about Maine’s existing rules that allow anyone to vote from prison. He called this “a sliver of light” for when you’re incarcerated.

Apparently transformer(s) on fire on S Alexander St near Canal per a Redditor who biked over to see what was up.

Welp it’s only been like 45 minutes without power and I miss my ceiling fans so much 😆

Other than the parking lot the store was fine even as busy as it was. It’s nice to have options depending on where I’m running errands.

Same wish about a screen door.

Was there this afternoon and the worker bees were hustling restocking. Busiest I’ve seen the parking lot so far.

It’s out over this way too (after the off and on crap like 3x first).
