Fully agree. What you can do in four lines of code takes 100 nodes in some applications that support visual scripting. e.g. Unreal Engine. They have a lot of macros that try to simplify things for more complex logic but you then have all these nodes that get lost in the shuffle.
tldr is:

visual scripting - easy to learn, hard to work on big projects
text scripting - hard to learn, easy to work on big projects

Your data updates don’t have to snap like a rubber band. Use the Interpolator Converter to ease, stretch, or bounce them into place.

Is anyone experiencing slow renders with Blender when using Deadline. There are 18 4090s working. Other issue is Blender stalls the workers. That could be a DL issue though.

So no Firefly video included in CC subscription. Guess that was asking for too much. Biggest issue I see with these AI video subs is that you burn through your credits within a few hours unless you subscribe to an Enterprise plan which easily sets you back $1k or more

Using keyboard modifiers (Shift, Ctrl) to increase/decrease parameter change speed when using the arrows keys in a value field would also be cool in @rive.app

I haven’t done AE tool scripting in quite some time so not familiar with all the new Classes but wanted to crank out something quickly. I figured why not use AI to help. While it gave me the boilerplate UI code, it failed miserably at the functionality. Had to dive into the docs to make it work.

I’ve been using AE’s new 3d model import features and they work really well. Performance is great on my Windows workstation but when opening the same project on a Mac Studio (Intel and M2) the performance really suffers. The project becomes unusable.

Hey! Wanted to share an update. Substance 3D Assets has recently removed the need to manage points to download assets for subscribers. However, if you’ve got points from previous Substance 3D subscriptions, the 3D Assets Library is open to you until the end of March.
