I’d rather pay higher prices because employees are making 15$ than pay more because executives are lying about inflation and tariffs while pocketing the money in bonuses and stocks.

One rule of human psychology is forever consistent with the masses: Almost everyone says "I just want the truth!," but when they get it...a firestorm erupts unless it confirms what they already believe. Learning something new...for many...is simply not high on the list of priorities. 😎

Pro tip: when U.S. politicians in either party ignore or defy what the broader public says it wants, it’s usually because they are pandering to some powerful special interest group (or groups). True whether the issue is gun control, farm subsidies, health care, or many aspects of foreign policy.
