Legal aid attorney: advocate for those the world says aren't deserving, b/c called to replicate the Incarnation, Christ walking among us. We're all broken, the only difference is some know it. Posting work observations of the crushing rock the poor face.
I'm sorry but this is wrong. The median household income is 80k. Your 2500 # implies much more than 25k spent on tariffed goods (bc tariffs are not on the final sale price). These households aren't spending that much on tariffed goods

What's happening is bad, but blatant misinformation wont help.

Not just bad, horrible. Because it plays the game that this crap is ok. It bends the knee.

It was a strong synergy that resulted in an emergent property.

I thought this aim was 100% evident when I got to law school in 2015.

#3 invokes Nancy R., which invokes Ronnie, the spiritual godfather of all of this bullshit. Surely it's a winner.

Seriously, the only effective response will be a mass collective refusal to respond. I understand that it won't happen, but it's the only one that will do much good.
February 23, 2025 at 6:00 AM
That was precisely my thought. Mass refusal to comply is the only possibly effective strategy.

I am an attorney. Contrary to prevailing news in recent years and days, my work is supposed to be based on what the law actually says.

I am not ashamed to be a pedant. I am ashamed to be associated with many other "attorneys" these days.

The letter is not correct. The section of the USC, on denominations, plainly refers at least once to the one-cenr coin as a "penny".

During the first 12-18 months or so of covid, Pritzker did this, streamed live on Facebook at 10am. It made this viewer feel like leadership was really paying attention to the on-the-ground issues.

Dems should do it, definitely. Focus on the issues impacting citizens that day.

There may be legitimate reasons to argue for a name change (I'm doubtful), but this is not a "naming dispute." This is a temper tantrum from a dictatorial child.

Unless the penny is specifically authorized by legislation, I'm not actually convinced this one is illegal (without digging into it more than I want to, and definitely not from my phone).

Dude. If Musk is going, let him go.

I think you have no idea how this works, despite your implied two decades of use. Expecting people to wade through all the prior responses is irrational at best.

When you post, you start a conversation, but for the most part you don't get to control where it goes or how people contribute.

Automatically flipping in settings that the user has turned off is very standard practice for software updates. Microsoft does it every time (I must have turned Cortana off 10 times finishing updates), I believe Google has done it through Android.

It's pretty shitty, but they're all guilty of it.

I wish you were right but I don't think you are. They have bought more increasingly outrageous lies as cover for increasingly outrageous behavior. No data suggests this trend will stop, only the same lie we've repeatedly told ourselves: "surely THIS is a bridge too far?" - but it hasn't yet been.

This post earned you a block from me. I get that the sports money is all in gambling these days, but you glorify it and I block you.
