A lot of right wing think tanks contributed to The Heritage Foundation's Project 2025. At the end of the day, they all fall in line and rally around someone (Anyone really), if they think it'll give them access to power.

We need a stronger think tank ecosystem. The Left wing/Liberal think tank ecosystem is a lot less centralized compared to what the right has, which makes it difficult to coordinate between different factions of the left and come up with a coherent action plan.

Especially as someone who doesn't think about sports, this was a great analogy.
The analogy I always think of is to pick whichever major sport you follow the least - NASCAR, soccer, MLB, NFL, whatever - and then think about somebody who pays as much attention to politics as you pay to that.
