Bret and Bari are bad and they are conservative. But they are bad in a way that is independent of being conservative.

Here is my Bret/Bari hot take. When they were first hired I thought "Well, it's hard to find good conservative columnists, I understand this." But I got to know some ex-Weekly Standard people and the truth is, there are dozens of better conservative columnist choices the NYT could have made.

No one could have predicted Never Trumpers would beome Trump supporters.

Trump may choose to be anti-science by banning certain vaccines. He may also choose to be pro-science by investing in exciting medical technologies developed by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong.
