9. Trails Beyond The Horizon
This game is fantastic. The way it continues, builds upon and answers questions from previous games is great. Returning characters get build upon in interesting ways. Nice gameplay improvements as well, good soundtrack too. God do I need the sequel after that ending tho.

to say otherwise would be lying to myself. While I would say few of the individual parts are truly unique the way it puts them all together is with love for the genre. I hope that's the lesson people learn from this game and not all turn based games need to look realistic with ray tracing to be good

8.Clair Obscure: Expedition 33
After hearing everything about it I have just finished it and yeah it great. Music is great, characters and story is great and is a fun take on turn based combat. I don't think it's something revolutionary like other do but it damn well made game and that if I was...

7. Ort Of The Flame
Sadly here since it got cancelled by WSJ. The ending felt rushed and nothing really ended in a satisfying manner. Sad about this cos the art was great and I was having fun with it. Always sucks to see a series get cut before it could reach it's full potential.

They also made a video showing your most played games on the system too which is cool

6. Bioshock Infinite - Buried At Sea
Kinda whatever DLC. While I think it's cool to see rapture in a different art style I don't think the story adds much to either Infinite's story or the original games. It's fine but doesn't excel in any way.

5. Bioshock Infinite
I can't fit my whole opinions on this in one post. It's a very interesting game with many elements I really like: the visuals, music, gameplay, some story bits, and other bit I don't: major story beats in the middle, limited weapons at a time etc. I'm glad I played it but mixed

4. (R)Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Pretty good follow up to the original game. Not sure if I like it as much as prime 1 but it does a good job of creating a world that is interesting to explore. I think the dark world is okay, has some cool moments. Great suit designs, light suit in particular is so cool

3. Hades 2
If I had finished this last year it probably would have been one of my favourite of the year. I thought the story was great and I liked the cast of characters a lot. The fact the game can be played so many times but feel different because of the weapons and boons is so impressive.

2. Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den
Originally DLC but included in the remastered, it's alright. Like 3 levels that explore some more of how rapture works and a sorta neat story, but this feels totally skippable. Don't have much to stay on it tbh

1. Bioshock 2 Remastered
Honestly, an interesting sequel. Getting to explore more of Rapture is cool, and I think the new story is interesting, although not sure if I like it more than the original game's story. Gameplay-wise, I like it more; it feels better and some smart changes. Good game.

Hoping next year will be good. Already have a idea of some games I will be playing at the start of the year: already playing Hades 2, doing a replay of Metroid Prime 2 and I want to start playing Expedition 33 some time soon.

This is a personal thing and not media related: but a huge highlight for me was able to meet Charles Martinet! I've always wanted to meet him and when I saw he was in the UK I took the chance to meet him, even if the drive was multiple hours long.

Outside of game I didn't watch much new stuff outside of MCU stuff. I did get into Godzilla this year though and I've been really enjoying these movies. Minus One is my favourite, followed by Shin and then the original. Going to be keeping up with these movies from now on.

Dragon Quest 2 HD 2D
Going from a game I never finished to my favourite of the Erdrick Trilogy. The new additions add so much to the world and characters on the game. It has the charm of other DQ titles while still standing on it's own. Great cast too. Can't recommend all these remakes enough.

Pokémon Legends ZA
I know this game has a number of issues but I don't really care. I had a lot of fun exploring Lumiose, the gameplay is fun and the new megas are really cool. The cast is also one of my favourite from Pokémon in general. What can I say I had a lot of fun with this

The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy
This is a massively ambitious game with 100 endings. While not all the endings/routes hit, the ones that do really hit. The cast is great and the game's ability to create and build mystery that last between routes is impressive. Has flaws but worth it

Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter
Another year another Trails game is one of my favourites of the year but not the main entry this year but a remake of the first game. A lovingly created remake that knows what to add and what to keep the same with great animation and music. So excited for 2nd chapter

Donkey Kong Bananza
DK coming back to 3D platforming in such a strong and interesting way was a lot of fun. Great levels, music, general game feel alongside fun & unique mechanics. Not much else to say but this game is damn good

101. Yooka-Re-Playlee
Didn't really play the original so mostly new experience for me. I had fun, the changes they made defiantly worked. I felt it controlled well, levels where interesting and it has a good sense of humour. Not my favourite platformer ever but quite a good time.

100. Bioshock Remastered
Never played any of the Bioshock games so this is my first real exposure. I liked this, Rapture is a really interesting place to explore, seeing how this objectivist society collapsed in on itself. Creature designs are great too.
