I am working out of a public library and there are a good number of people who seem to be on hard times using the facilities for various reasons like job searching, entertainment, charging peripherals, using the bathroom, etc., and I am struck by how important it is that libraries continue to exist

Personally? Don’t force it - start small perhaps half an hour at a time and increase.
Romanticise it a little, buy a cute desk lamp, make a cup of tea to drink whilst you’re working. Little things like that help me when I’m trying to write ☺️

Totally agree with this article.

The reaction I had to this program was how cruel it seemed, to reduce grown adults to quivering wrecks (with one woman getting out of a moving car).

With all our clinical know-how in 2025 - there must be better alternatives.

Today I found some #SeaGlass with what appeared to be a dragon. Turns out it’s from a 1950’s Gordon’s Gin bottle. The ‘dragon’ is a boar, which was their logo until 2003.

I think this may be my new fav hobby 😏
