To get a more insider view, I recommend joining a team! We're all extremely friendly and many teams welcome remote solvers. ;-)

It's not a follow-along kind of thing because it runs the entire weekend and people take it super seriously, but there will be a bunch of retrospective blogs. People will vaguepost about it on social media; there's an MIT Mystery Hunt feed, and there's a subreddit.

Knowing what little I know of you from social media, I think you would have a blast. And there's always a pretty wide puzzle width nowadays!
