1/X: My Writings, A Thread:

Quill & Still was my Amazon debut. It has cracked eggs, made trans girls cry in yearning, and made 80y/o men enjoy litRPG. It's cozy queer slice-of-life portal fantasy about a middle aged Jewish (OTD) burned-out chemist and a kinder world.

Classic Sunday night of #MITMH for me: just chilling in the room while a couple dozen of my teammates work to solve puzzles and I'm just... not, because I am out of brain cells.

Wonderful hunt though. As always, a highlight of my year.

COIN has been found! Solving continues because my team is nowhere near finishing and we wanna at least get through the Kingdom.

the puzzle whose name is a series of three emojis is going to be a strong contender for my favorite puzzle of the hunt and I know exactly what that says about me.

MITMH KICKOFF COUNTDOWN IS REAL
January 16, 2026 at 5:00 PM
Time Till MIT Mystery Hunt rapidly ticking down towards zero and I am **vibrating** with excitement aaaaaaaaaaa

(Though in some ways yesterday was the first day of Hunt weekend because going to dinner with some teammates was... listen, these are My People, it has been 17 years of winter nerd camp.)

Cannot believe this is year 17 of being at Mystery Hunt. I still think of myself as being bad at it, but seventeen years of high-intensity winter nerd camp has taught me a thing or two and I can't wait to see how this year goes!!

It’s easy to watch the news and feel overwhelmed or even helpless at everything going on. I need you to fight that feeling.

I’m an optimist. You have to be when you strap yourself to a rocket for a living. But there’s real reason to be hopeful this year and l’ll tell you why.

I am always learning new things from Liberal Currents articles and always wroth at the relevance thereof.
once again: the civil rights movement is worth studying not just because they were right, but because they won

except for every fascist coup that failed because the cops didn't flip.
I’m just saying I can’t think of any fascist movement in history that has been successfully suppressed with the help of the cops.

Off to go be social, gentle reminder to please don't get your Discord servers subpoena'd and remember that instead of Poasting you should check out Indivisible events near you and see if there are Know Your Rights trainings you could attend.

(and per Stancil, if you see something, get the NAMES.)

Yesterday I woke up feeling like hardly anyone’s reading my work and no one cares. Then I opened an email from someone telling me they loved one of my stories and how important they feel it is. All this to say, let people know when you like their art. Your words can find them when they most need it.

Has anyone done a 'shop or propaganda poster of a Honda Fit with "The observer is your friend / They fight for freedom"?

Hey if anyone wants to write a scathing detailed multi-thousand word review of Quill & Still breaking down every thing you think I did wrong structurally, thematically, character wise, and prose wise, just let me know, I'll send you an epub or mail you a physical book!

Definitely not a drama post.

If you see Third Way say some dumbfuck stupid-ass XYZ thing targeted at Democratic Party politicians and your reflex is to say "aha! Democrats think XYZ!", you are a sucker. I don't care if you're a big name journalist or indistinguishable from a bot, you *are* the problem with politics on here.

The murder of Renee Good by ICE is an atrocity that must face justice. Thankfully, accurate and clear video footage shows that this was a cold-blooded murder. This iteration of the print pays homage to that.
