interesting, i've never heard of using golang for anything related to games;

Nice to hear! I'm the co-developer for ByteBlaster; bluattire is my brother; the gameplay is inspired by legend of zelda and nier automata; we tried to come up with a basic balance for using the sword and shooting;

fascinated by the thread you have explaining the nitty-gritty; but here I'm curious, what is Hidden Folks about that it needs so many entities running at once? Is it something like Pikmin or more of a RTS experience?

nice to hear you're interested; there are lots of nice engines out there, but I recommend Godot; the scripting language is easy to learn and it's free software
