For anyone else seeing this, yes, I'm a G1 Transformers nerd. Tyler saw a post I made referencing that and sent me signed comics he wrote just because he's awesome. One of the high points of my Twitter days, along with the awesome handpainted shoes @julierobbartist.bsky.social made for me

@papiblez.bsky.social Hey, I don't know if you'll remember but way back in 2021ish I posted some photos of my Constructicons on Twitter and you sent me signed comics. We had a lot of transitions after that but today I finally got them framed and look forward to hanging them up!

The Third Presbyterian Church in Chester, PA was one of the town's few surviving landmarks. Progress was being made to turn it into a community art center, but it was destroyed by arson before the plans were completed. www.abandonedamerica.us/third-presby...

A hallway of seclusion cells at the abandoned Greystone Park Psychiatric Center, demolished in 2015. Woody Guthrie was a patient at Greystone from 1956-61 as a result of his Huntington's Disease. www.abandonedamerica.us/greystone-pa...

That's really wonderful. I think both of our chosen subjects can be exploitative if not handled carefully,and the fact that the individuals you photograph are proud to be a part of the exhibitions speaks volumes for your respectful approach.

I would imagine so - and while I think galleries are lovely, there's something to be said for photography finding people in places they weren't necessarily visiting to look at it. I think sometimes that can have a bigger impact, if that makes sense

The Outsiders exhibition has now been installed at The Courtyard in Hereford, it’s essentially the same version that was displayed inside the Houses of Parliament, plus the case display and the art video. It’s a great venue and well worth a visit.

They used to give tours of the actual factory in operation. I can't be 100% sure I never went on one, but I know I went on the Chocolate World ride many times when they had areas that looked like the factory. When I got to photograph the actual factory I had a constant unsettling sense of deja vu

The cause for the abandonment of western Pennsylvanian neighborhood of Lincoln Way was the subject of wild internet rumors. Though the truth was more mundane, it was perhaps more heartbreaking as well. www.abandonedamerica.us/lincoln-way

The overgrown and labyrinthian ruins of the former Lancaster Stockyard - once the largest livestock distribution hub on the east coast of the United States, it was also the first stockyard to be prosecuted for animal cruelty. www.abandonedamerica.us/lancaster-st...

The Budd Factory in Philadelphia manufactured everything from train cars to auto bodies to jet and tank parts. By the 1980s, though, their sales had slumped and their factory in Philadelphia was abandoned. www.abandonedamerica.us/the-budd-fac...
