i think one of the key problems in jayvik circles is that a lot of people genuinely can't comprehend viktor's character without boxing him into harmful binary social structures.

he's either mean and aggressive to jayce or a dainty commune waife, when he's actually neither of those things.

specifically this gets me so bad because it's presented in otherwise domestic scenarios. if it was a "hey here's some dark jayvik where viktor's abusive" cool hell yeah, but when it's not acknowledged as being weird, when it's just accepted that jayce gets hit, that's really fucking uncomfortable!

He's panting, leaning forward with a hand on his side, bracing himself for another attack. There's blood under his hand; he's been wounded. A teal qi-controlled blindfold end stops Binghe in his tracks. Shen Yuan, out of frame, "Binghe, stand down." 2nd: Luo Binghe, full-body. He's kneeling, looking up at the back of his shizun. Shen Yuan is standing before him, expressionless, the many ends of his blindfold swaying restlessly around him. Binghe calls out, "No, shizun! I can still—" Shen Yuan cuts him off, "I said!" 3rd: Shen Yuan, from his back. His hands are spread, his blindfold ends following the motion. There's an abyssal beast walking towards them. It's shaped like a reptile standing on its hind legs, with a human-like face and teeth. Shen Yuan asks again, "Stand down!" 4th & 5th: Luo Binghe, still trying to get up and argue against Shen Yuan's command. The dream demon stops him, "Listen to him, brat." 6th: Shen Yuan, from front. His hands are still spread. His blindfold ends are spread out even more; some of them are poised to look like a crown of horns. His fan-like wings are rising as well. Shen Yuan looks dangerous. The dream demon, "He's no Heavenly Demon. But he is of the abyss." 7th: Luo Binghe, frozen still, clutching the blindfold that stopped him and decided to keep him company. He looks shocked as Shen Yuan fights the beast. The dream demon, "A Lord of this realm is—" 8th: Shen Yuan and the beast, mid-fight. Its mouth is wide open, revealing its many teeth, and its poison-tipped tail is poised to attack. But it can't move; it's been bloodied and completely enveloped in Shen Yuan's blindfolds. Shen Yuan on his part looks completely unphased, his hand raised to point at the beast, almost mocking. The dream demon, “A calamity in flesh.” The second page. Shen Yuan devours his prey as Luo Binghe watches. 1st panel: Shen Yuan standing still as the stitches on his torso open to reveal a mouth. His entire torso is hollow but for the many fangs lining it. The dream demon, "Hollow." 2nd & 3rd & 4th: Shen Yuan devouring the beast he has slain. His blindfold ends are restless still, now in hunger instead of battle-lust. The dream demon: "Starving. All-consuming." 5th: The mouth/torso closing. It's covered in blood. Shen Yuan looking back at Luo Binghe, who hasn't moved an inch from his kneeling position. He's still clutching the blindfold end that hasn't left his side during the whole ordeal. Shen Yuan calling out, "Little Lord? Are you okay?" 6th: Shen Yuan, covered in blood, immense, leaning down to fuss over Luo Binghe. His hands are on his head, stroking his hair and face. His blindfold ends are no longer spread out. They're curling around Binghe instead. Shen Yuan is still asking after Binghe, wondering if the poison of the creature, one of the few that could affect heavenly demons, got to his student. Luo Binghe on his part looks struck-dumb, almost in awe. He's thinking, "Gentle. He's a gentle calamity."
