Right-wing extremists have carried out nearly all politically motivated killings in the last 25 years. Here’s an incomplete list, with some international cases included for their influence on U.S. attacks.

I have also included a list of left-wing extremist murders from the same time period.

JB Pritzker and Gavin Newsom are doing something new and important: They understand Stephen Miller's theory of fascist power politics, and they've developed a theory on how to combat it. More Dems need to reckon with Miller's understanding of the moment.

New from me:

Inside Stephen Miller’s Secret Plan to Normalize Trump’s Dictator Rule
He wants to supercharge searing civil tensions to get low-information voters to embrace their inner authoritarian. Exactly two Democrats appear to fully grasp this.

Since the Reagan '80s, wages flatlined while rents went through the roof. The 1986 tax reform cut top rates, boosted capital, and turned housing into an investment instead of a home. Add weak unions, deregulation, and cheap credit, and you get an economy that rewards owning, not working.

I'd go to fucking war to prevent this from happening.

In 1999, Bill Clinton announced that “the last, best unprotected wild lands anywhere in our nation” would be shielded by a new rule that banned roads and drilling.

Today, these lands could soon see chainsaws and logging trucks amid a push by Trump to raze these ecosystems for timber.
Outcry as Trump plots the plunder of US forests: "You can almost hear the chainsaws"
Public comments suggest repealing the Clinton-era "roadless rule" is wildly unpopular.

It's a start, but it's not enough. More than anything, the reactions to this show how starved people are for Democrats to show signs of life.

It would be really nice if Dems woke up to the concept of media strategies.

Imagine if the Democratic Party united behind officially calling for Trump’s resignation - in every press conference, every floor speech, every interview. Again and again. If nothing else, to tear down all those years of normalization that still shield him and his party from accountability.

Never underestimate the unhinged idiocy of Republican voters.

A new Washington Post/Ipsos poll finds Americans trust Republicans more on the economy, immigration, and crime.

54% say Democrats are “too liberal” and 49% say Republicans “too conservative.”

Still, 53% prefer Democrats in Congress to check Trump, versus 42% favoring GOP control.

I went on X for the first time in a while and read the comments on senator Mike Lee's hagiographic tweets about Russ Vought and they were all largely about punishing the Libs. Democrats could literally walk on water and perform miracles and it still wouldn't make these people vote for them.

Harris literally campaigned with a hawkish, right-wing Republican, someone who only seems moderate because she stopped short of following her party into full-on fascism.

Like every Democratic presidential candidate before her, Harris wasted time and money chasing conservative swing voting unicorns.
