Dealing with possibly moving has made me realize why I never really try or know how to make friends. bottling everything up because of always thinking I will have to leave or I will be left. It's only harder to do so when you have attachments you want to maintain, so I just.. don't.

It's all tied together and don't let them trick you into thinking it's for safety

I don't know how to mourn today. There is no stillness, no quiet. All I can think about are the powerful people meeting right now to make this list so long that by next year, it will stretch to the moon. I've used up all my sadness. All that's left is rage, and today that will have to do.

I now know three different trans women who are actively moving out of our home state to protect ourselves. This election and its consequences were too high to be bet on "nothing will fundamentally change" winning.

We’re all hurting. I don’t have all the answers.

But I know that things won’t be this bleak forever.

I ran against a MAGA incumbent in a “safe red” district in KY as a progressive, openly queer, 28-year-old trans woman.

And I won.

Please, don’t let your heartbreak turn into apathy or cynicism 💙
