First day of Thanksgiving Break and we're getting our Dinosaur Blocks Kit Cards ready to ship for the Xmas Print Drive. Not as many prints to send this year, but thrilled I was able to contribute a design! Happy Holidays! 🦕🎄🦖

Another teacher and I received a small grant from our school's parent foundation for 3D printing to support our math classes. Thinking class sets for hands on for students and larger models for display. When choosing filament, it was Printed Solid Jessie PLA all the way! @printedsolid.bsky.social

These were inspired by some of my Calculus III lessons. I'm excited to share them with my students! I particularly like the contour map surfaces and will probably use the technique again more.

My "Double Integral" models are now at Cults3D.
These are terrific for my Calculus III class, and the added bonus is that my younger students started asking questions about higher-order mathematics as well!

My printed exponential curves worked well in my lesson! Many students (though not all) thought it helped to better visualize what was going on as we transformed the functions. Students commented they liked "hands-on" approach. Curves w/ bases 2, 3, e, 10 coming soon to Cults3D. @cults3d.bsky.social

Last minute idea for today's lesson: Exponential Functions. Each one is the curve y = 2^x. I made a class set for myself and each of the other Math 1 Honors teachers. Maybe e^x is next, or a longer tail toward the asymptote... 🤔
