This said, there seems to have been an uptick in coverage of the UAE's involvement in Sudan in the past few days, possibly because UAE diplomatic advisor Anwar Gargash spoke directly about it last weekend, admitting mistakes made ahead of and after the military coup in 2021.
Had an article in the works on this for weeks (hopefully out in coming weeks (the downside of being freelance)). Agree that lack of coverage (in front pages too) is an issue. It's so directly related to a high-profile club and by extension their group of clubs that football shouldn't ignore it.
