Old man, living in Málaga who still wants a fairer, peaceful world. Reverse Brexit and stop banging on about immigration, they're humans too.
Oh! and cricket, golf, tennis and Leicester City

On the subject of Tice...Can anyone explain?

How is an elected MP, who we pay £90,000pa to represent Skegness, allowed to live in Dubai so he can avoid paying taxes on the money we pay him?

Nadine, don't just sit there, put your name forward.

I live near Malaga and it's booming. The technology park is a catalyst and, of course, tourism, hospitality and construction. Workers with skills from all over the World attracted to the welcoming climate, and not just the weather.

It's 9 months old but worth reminding people. Better economic growth in the UK needs the input from migrants. Whether highly skilled, or those needed to do the jobs young Brits won't do, they're needed. The Labour government, playing light Reform, need to change course.

No coincidence it reminds me of pictures from 1930s Germany.

Innocent until proven guilty. Just get a move on.

As a departee in 2021, to Spain, because of Brexit, I would say that there's many who are now resident here, who would previously have gone backwards and forwards. They would have retained UK tax residency but are now paying taxes to Spain. I guess the same applies to Italy, France and Portugal.

The majority of Reform voters are turned on by his racism. They won't equate it with Hitler, fascism, or what our ancestors fought against. Too complicated for them.

Surely EEA would be quicker and politically easier than the hurdles of full EU membership. There'd be a backlash from the usual culprits but, "the will of the people" crap is more easily refuted. Long-term, rejoin when possible.

That's a great point, I hadn't thought of it that way.

Easily conned doctors, and discrimination act laws that are difficult and expensive for small employers to negotiate.

It's the issue caused by the privatisation of essential services that were formerly state monopolies. There is no real competition so they more or less charge the maximum they're allowed. The old rule of too much demand for too few goods doesn't apply.

Bo, one son rented from an old boy who'd gone into a home. Shared the house with 4 mates. The other has rented in London from a variety of landlords, all individuals, decent people, not entitled, but have worked hard and done ok. The last landlord had gone abroad for 2 years, it was their home.

I'm lucky. Managed to live with my parents until we bought our first house for £9,500.
Both of our sons have rented, then bought. Yes it's not easy, but nothing to do with a class system.

Class enemies?

No. If there were no rental properties, there'd be problems. I get there's long-term solutions but that will take some sorting. Not all landlords are bustards.

I agree with a lot you say, but not this one.

Absolutely, attract the best people, never mind where they're from or what colour they are.
