Killing people is what it does. I have a lot of sympathy to the kids who ignored the truth about what they were getting into, or were too indoctrinated to see it, or were coerced, but a lot of them deliberately turned a blind eye and some of them went because they desired to do violence.

They signed up voluntarily, indicating that they were OK with killing strangers if an authority figure told them to. It's not fair to conflate that worldview with immigrants or Muslims.
