The argument goes that America approved his agenda is false. America empowered him to push his agenda through legal Congressional means and that’s it. If he won’t do that, it’s on him not the courts.

To go along with that, we live in an era of low trust voters, and they're just going to keep voting out incumbents over and over because they're mad at "The System" and aren't traditional ideological actors. You can't heal America without making people trust the government more.

Doesn’t this all come down to authenticity? Something intangible in the speaker. From the mouth of AOC for example some of these terms feel natural, but a 50 something ex-prosecutor contorting themselves to advocate for defunding police is just transparent and off-putting.

Agree with you on most of these plain language points, but do people really bump on “undocumented” at this point? “illegal” is such an obvious pejorative especially applied to a class of people. Isn’t undocumented more accurate in the case of something like a visa overstay vs. unlawful entry?
