October horror movie 8/31 is 1408.
I had a lot of fun with this, more fun when it was less leaning into the spectacle and a touch more grounded, but I still enjoyed it as a whole. Didn't know it was a Stephen King piece going in. I didn't know it was a pseudo bottle movie either, a nice suprise.

October horror movie 7/31 is The Host/Goemul. Oh my goodness, this was a treat. I watched this yonks ago and I'm so glad I forgot most of it because seeing it again with a mostly blank slate was the best experience I've had so far this horror movie-athon. Highly, HIGHLY recommended.

October horror movie 6/31 is Waxwork. David Warner and John Rys-Davis!? What could go wrong? A lot as it turns out. I sought this out because of a clip on YouTube Shorts, and if you feel the need to do the same, just skip to the last twenty minutes. That's literally where all the fun is.

October Horror Movie 5/31 is Creepozoids. I'm sorry, even at just over an hour, I had to bail on this one around the forty minute mark. It's bad in a way that's not even enjoyable to watch crash out. Full Moon Productions movies once again just not being for me.

Tired, hungry and poor. I'm not eating well, not sleeping well, and I've little energy to do the basics. Didn't think my thirties would be worse than my twenties, but here we are. At least I'm still around to enjoy the few good bits. Infrequent though they may be.

October Horror Movie Bonus/31 is The Toxic Avenger (2023). This is a lot of fun, a great successor to a line of very silly movies. The right kind of modern update, one where the effects and camera work get an upgrade, but the character core is honoured. Old Troma had their issues, this less so.

October Horror Movie 4/31 is Freaky. After three days of grounded and introspective films, I wanted something a little sillier, and this was a great pick. A loving horror comedy that enjoys playing in the space including some great, inoffensive, gender fuckery.
It's happily better than expected.

Whilst the actors are cis, the characters in context have had their souls swapped. That is why they are in poses indicative of stereotypes related to a gender they are not.

I was dismissed from their services for being too overweight to opt into bottom surgery and FFS, a dismissal without support that sent me into a really bad spiral. I was told I could rejoin the service when I'm 180lb or lower, but that was a decade ago, that promise didn't stand.

I used to go to The Laurels. In 2015, they had a greeter who rudely critiqued my presentation and gait as not being feminine enough. My first therapist there was very rude, but the second was lovely, a very mixed bag.
Got my estrogen from them eventually, but it was a fight to prove myself.
