I love how Wizards printed supposed counterplay to extra card draw in Sheoldred and Orcish Bowmasters, and then proceeds to make every good card advantage spell from there on not trigger those cards

We released a one-level prototype of Bellum Corpus, the XCOM-inspired turn-based strategy game I've been working on since the summer.

It's Armory day, and that means going 2-0 and then losing to Verdance and an instant-speed Scour for 5 in the finals 😅

I was so happy today that I had a few of these heads-up plays that most people wouldn't spot. It's always been one of my greatest strengths as a Magic player, and it's starting to carry over to Flesh and Blood. I'm so so excited to dive in even more and start competing for real
W Gravy Bones. Super proud of how I played this one. Fired off Face Purgatory on their t1 to deny the resources to cast Chum, gaining a big tempo win. I found good lines to clear their allies and built a big turn that put them down to 10 vs. 23, then leverage the life difference to close out

Man. As I expected, watching Mtg World Championships gives me complicated feelings.
I really wanted to be there, and for like 3 months this season I thought my invite was locked. Then turned out it wasn't, and I crash and burned the final PT to narrowly miss out.

Yesterday I got up early to go practice tennis & to the gym, did a grocery run, made proper food & dessert, went to play Mtg with friends to prep for an upcoming tournament and started packing for the move.
I don't know where this burst of life energy came from but I'd like to keep it.

So my cats woke me up after 5 hours of sleep, I forgot to take my adhd meds before leaving home and then my bicycle chain just SNAPPED randomly on the way to school. This is shaping up to be a great day 😅😅

The comp Magic player obsession with (monetary) value is understandable, but it's kinda depressing when everything is made to be all about EV all the time.
It's refreshing to see friends who play other games road trip in groups for piss all prizing because the events are *fun*
