DAVE MATTHEWS: “I don’t want my taxes to pay for masked thugs to roam our streets & terrorize our communities... She was trying to get away. He shot her 3x in the head. Murdered in cold blood. They’re trying to tell us not to believe what we see. FUCK ICE.”

I recently argued with a guy about whether Avatar 3 was doing well. A crazy conversation.
I’ve complained about it before but /r/BoxOffice users continuously ignoring the contextual realities of box office for indie and award contender movies in favour of acting like every film ever needs to perform like an Avengers movie otherwise it’s a flop is consistently so so so funny

I have a lot of complicated feelings about this.

This is gonna be true for so much of this shit.
I think the answer here is that the Trump administration can pretend to rename it whatever they want, but nothing stops the next President from ending the fiction.

Because he’s jealous. Paul Dano had the acting career he never did.
I’m just trying desperately to figure out how someone could watch There Will Be Blood and think Paul Dano’s performance was weak somehow.

Being swaggy is just a side effect of being raised by birds.
I like that Metroid Dread embraces the fact that Samus is hot, specifically because she's a giant woman in a suit of armor who will step on you.

Whiplash is a beautiful movie about a lot of things and it pains me to see people miss the point so completely as to convince themselves it’s inspirational.

Let’s be clear Disney doesn’t give a shit if it makes sense, weirdos on the internet used a poorly written line to lambast their last movie and they didn’t wanna deal with that again.

I wonder how many contractors a few is?

I can’t believe I’m about to open this can of clearly labeled worms, but yellow paint only exists in games because it’s sometimes necessary.

No game dev woke up one day and decided that every climbable surface should be yellow.

This seems like a very obvious play to quickly grab market share with grand promises, only to eventually sell out. What’s more concerning about this is Steinberger, who founded Comixology and approved its sale to Amazon, is involved.

Why would anyone trust him to not sell out for a fat check again.
