If you want to really go with the deadname route, though, I think pretty much all major publishers have ways of changing your name on already published papers. Unless things have changed, though, Google Scholar will still out you. scholar.hasfailed.us

Just before publications on my CV and at the bottom of cover letters, I write all research products prior to Summer 2023 were published under my old name. This is partly done so I knew I was landing somewhere at least somewhat tolerant after my last career change. Not everyone has that privilege.

I was fortunate that my old first (and middle) name were gender neutral but more commonly male. I moved my old first name to middle position and dropped the old middle name in case it helped me remain recognizable to anybody who knew me before. I introduce myself as Emily Kyle Fox in a few places.
