Ich möchte nichts verteidigen, nur auf das Faktum hinweisen, dass die Mitgliedschaft meist weit entfernt von Parität ist. Dass sich das auch in Parlamenten und bei Gremien und Posten auswirkt, sollte nicht erstaunen.

Ich fürchte, Sie missverstehen da eventuell etwas. Klingbeil reagiert darauf, dass die SPD bei der #BTW25 mit Abstand die meisten Wähler (1,7 Mio.) an die Union verloren hat und dass viele davon den Fokus der SPD auf das Thema Bürgergeld als Grund angegeben haben.

Very happy to be at Wilton Park again for the Advisory Council meeting. The present substantial geopolitical shifts also challenge organisations such as ours - how are we to react? That will be a main topic of discussion today and tomorrow, and I look forward to it!

We have one, too - and I still love it! It stands on the living room bookshelves, underneath the German “Meyers Konversationslexikon“ from 1890 which I inherited from my grandfather.

This is what happened to world trade the last time there was a trade war - in the years after 1929. Everybody was worse off afterwards. From Charles Kindleberger‘s famous book about the 1929 depression.
