There was basically no way to do an "accurate" representation of the Mandarin that wouldn't lean into stereotypes. Some jackass actor PRETENDING to be the Mandarin was a PERFECT compromise!

They have admitted to using it for placeholders (a thing you DON'T need genAI for b/c tools to create it have exist for DECADES) and "idea and concept generation" which is LITERALLY the fundamental first step of creating art
